BerylMartin was founded by Frank and Susan Brummett to create a company that celebrates life. With its roots firmly in the industries of design and printing, BerylMartin has been the wellspring for a host of creative ventures that have sought to express the beauty of our shared experiences and to honor the special events that make up the our lives.
After the loss of his mother, Faye Beryl Smith, in 1995, Frank Brummett and his wife Susan set out to design a funeral program that would tell the story of her life through words and family photographs. From that desire to pay tribute to his mother, a new business was born, and today BerylMartin supplies memorial tributes to funeral homes across the country.
In 1998, Frank and Susan’s youngest son, Walker Martin was born. The custom-designed candy bar wrappers Frank and Susan made for his birth announcement would give rise to another BerylMartin product, the Baby Bar.
In 2000, BerylMartin formally opened for business, seeking to develop and market our expanding line of high quality products and services, by identifying and developing niche markets, with the goals of pioneering new technologies to make systems and processes more efficient, and above all serving our customers in a reliable, responsive, and user-friendly manner.
In the summer of 2002, BerylMartin sponsored its first annual "Let’s Go To The Hoop" 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament, blessing thousands of area youth with a great weekend of fun and prizes, and live performances from 14 of American Idol’s season one contestants.
It was also around this time that BerylMartin began to explore new avenues for personalized products, including our line of Celebrate! banners and our Get Personal line of wedding tributes. This expansion of our capabilities culminated with the inception of our full-time fulfillment service in 2004.
In the winter of 2004, Frank Brummett led BerylMartin in developing the first annual Feed the Future holiday extravaganza that has since brought Christmas cheer to tens of thousands of Northwest Indiana schoolchildren who might have otherwise been forgotten during the holiday season.
From 2005 to the present time, BerylMartin has added to our staff and our capabilities, and today we offer a complete event design and development program pioneered by our steadily expanding role in creating the whole attendee experience for the annual YTB Convention held in St. Louis, Missouri.
