FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
Foam Replica of Statue of Liberty Ready for Transport
On August 3, 2008, Northwest Indiana will see the largest replica of the Statute of Liberty leave her birthplace for her journey to St. Louis, Missouri. The New Lady Liberty will be transported in 80 UPS trailers for her debut at the 2008 YTB National Convention held at the Edward Jones Dome in St. Louis.
The trailer caravan, which will be a historical transportation job for UPS, will leave BerylMartin at 1313 East Main Street in Griffith, Indiana at 12 noon on August 3rd. The caravan's route is west on Main Street, to US 41 south to Terre Haute; Interstate 70 west towards St. Louis.
The New Lady Liberty, born in the USA, is 130 feet tall and 50,000 pounds when fully assembled. Made of foam on a steal frame and sprayed with plastic, this replica will be weatherproof and ready for her duty as a memorial for fallen police officers and soldiers after the convention. Frank Brummett and the BerylMartin creative team agree that The New Lady Liberty "deserves to stand tall" because she too stands for friendship and collaboration. It took 4 months to assemble the original Statue of Liberty when it arrived from France. The BerylMartin crew will have less than 4 days to assemble The New Lady Liberty at the YTB convention site.
